General Information

Where can I park?

Limited parking is available behind the clinic. There is additional parking across the street, and 70 m away at the Collins Street community centre. We encourage carpooling when possible. 

Do I need a reservation or can I walk in?

​We highly recommend booking before walking in. Our recovery sessions are limited to a maximum of 8 people, and our remedial massage and physiotherapy team are often fully booked. We do get cancellations, so walk-ins are welcome and we’ll always do our best to accommodate you, but we can’t guarantee availability without a booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

For remedial massage we require 24 notice when cancelling or rescheduling appointments. Cancelling appointments within this time may incur a 50% cancellation fee for the first cancellation and a 100% fee for future cancellations. 

For our recovery sessions we require 6 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Cancelling sessions within this time may incur the full cost of the session.

Why did Subi Sports Massage & Physio change its name?

We’ve rebranded to Subi Sports Recovery to better reflect the full range of services we offer, including remedial massage, recovery therapy, sauna and cold plunge. While our name has changed, our team, management and our commitment to your recovery and wellbeing remains the same.

Recovery Sessions - Sauna & Cold Plunge

How long are the recovery sessions
& what do they include ?

Our recovery sessions run for 55 minutes and include usage of all of our recovery facillities, this includes both Sauna's, the cold plunge, the ice bath, the recovery area, the bucket shower, the normatec boots, the showers and change room.

What do I need to bring?

You need to wear swimwear or activeware for our recovery sessions. Please bring two towels. One to sit on, and one to dry off with. We do have a filtered, chilled water tap, however we also recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated. 

What are the rules ?

  • Always shower before entering the sauna or cold plunge

  • Ensure you are wearing appropriate swimwear or active wear

  • Always sit on a towel inside the sauna ( No skin contact with benches)

  • Stay hydrated before, during and after your session

  • Limit sauna and cold plunge exposure to safe reccommended durations

  • Listen to your body, and exit immediately if you feel dizzy, unwell or uncomfortable

  • Do not add any water to the hot stones without full group consent

  • Ensure you follow all instructions given by staff at all times

When not to use the sauna
& cold plunge?

  • Do not use the saunas or cold plunge if you are pregnant

  • If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Do not use if you have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, respiratory conditions, or any medical conditions that may be affected by heat or cold exposure

  • Do not use if you are unwell, have a fever, infections, contagious illnesses or any open wounds. 

  • If you are unsure whether sauna and cold plunge is safe for you please consult with your medical professional prior to booking in. 

Do I need experience to use the facillities?

No experience is needed. Our experienced team can guide you through how to safely use both the sauna and cold plunge. We also provide information on reccomended times and usage of the sauna and cold plunges to maximise your experience.

How often should I use the sauna 
& cold plunge?

This depends on your goals, tolerance and schedule. Many clients use the facilities between 1 and 3 times per week, while others incorporate it more frequently. It just depends on your individual 

Remedial Massage & Physiotherapy

Do we accept Private Health Funds?

Yes, we accept most major health funds for remedial massage and physiotherapy. Not all therapists are claimable, so please check when booking. We offer on-the-spot claims via HICAPS, with rebate amounts depending on your cover. If you bring your healthfund card into the clinic we can tell you how much you'll get back. 

What do I need to bring?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing that’s easy to change in and out of, and bringing any relevant medical documents or referral letters for your therapist to review. 

Should I book for Massage or Physio?

Massage is ideal for tension, muscle tightness, or stress relief. Physio is best for injuries, movement issues, or rehab plans. Unsure? Contact us and we’ll help you choose.

What does my appoinment include?

Your treatment time includes not only the hands-on massage or physiotherapy, but also the time needed to dress and undress. It also covers any discussion of your medical history, assessments conducted, and instruction on exercises

Do I need a referral?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing that’s easy to change in and out of, and bringing any relevant medical documents or referral letters for your therapist to review. 

Can I have treatment while Pregnant?

Yes, we absolutely offer specialised pregnancy massage and Physiotherapy. Please make sure to let your therapist know that you're pregnant and when your due date is.
